- £500 Waste Action Grant Awarded to Blackburn Primary 'Eco' School
A primary school in Blackburn received a £500 Waste Action Grant to support its Eco Club. The school is striving to gain ‘Eco School’ status and the club's activities involve all things environmental, from tree planting to recycling.
- Burnley Community College Receives £500 Waste Action Grant
A community college in Burnley received £500 in funding for its Whole School Composting Initiative. The grant will fund an on-site composting area which will accept waste from the canteen, food technology rooms and staff dining room.
- Newburgh Primary School is Awarded £500 Funding
A primary school in Newburgh received a total of £500 towards their '3 R’s Project' which will promote reduce, re-use, recycle. Funding will go towards installing recycling units throughout the school and also establish an ‘Eco Squad’.
