About Lancashire Community Recycling Network

Lancashire CRN is an unincorporated organisation with membership open to all involved in community waste reduction, re-use and recycling activities.

Membership

Membership is open to individuals, not-for-profit and charitable organisations that seek to advance the objectives of the Lancashire CRN, subject to management committee approval. We also work with emerging community waste organisations or existing community organisations that wish to diversify into waste and recycling. Associate membership is open to public and for profit organisations also seeking to advance their organisations' objectives. A list of current members can be found in the membership directory.

Management Committee

A management committee is elected annually from the membership with PFI Stakeholder and District Council representation. The committee meets every six weeks to progress Lancashire CRN activities and review applications to the Community Solutions programme.

Vision

Our vision is for the Lancashire CRN to be at the heart of sustainable resource management in the county. In order to fulfill this vision we have four key strategic aims:

In addition to these aims, Lancashire CRN is committed to facilitating the Community Solutions programme. Community Solutions seeks to improve and strengthen the position of community sector groups, organisations in relation to waste reduction, reuse, recycling and local market development activities in particular, those activities related to Bulky Waste Collection and Reuse and Commercial Recycling Schemes.
