Lancashire Community Recycling Network (Lancashire CRN) was formed in 2002, to work with the community sector to increase their capacity through the Community Solutions Project.

The Lancashire Community Recycling Network:
- Support and promotes community based sustainable waste management initiatives in Lancashire.
- Improve and strengthen the position of the community sector in relation to waste reduction, re-use, recycling and local market development to deliver environmental,social and economic benefits into Lancashire.
- Are a not-for-profit, member organisation providing information, networking, recognition and communication opportunities and promoting project funding and support to all members.
- Are funded through the waste Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contract delivered by Global Renewables on behalf of Lancashire County Council and Blackpool Council
